Victor Stevens moved to NYC in 1988 and began creating mosaics in 1992, when he co-founded a company called Downtown Design with another artist. They were soon doing jobs with The Rockwell Group in New York, Mohegan Sun Casino in Connecticut and Todd Oldham in South Beach, among others.

In 2003 Victor started his own company, East Village Mosaics, and has been doing commissioned pieces in stained glass and tile ever since, now at his new studio in Brooklyn.
